The CHILD Haus is a temporary shelter that provides a safe and nurturing home for indigent patients from various provinces who are battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. These patients often have no place to stay in Metro Manila while undergoing medical evaluation or treatment. CHILD Haus offers free room and board, ensuring comfort, care, and dignity during a most challenging time.

Operating on the principles of hospice and holistic care, CHILD Haus promotes healing that goes beyond medical treatment. Through its diverse programs, services, and activities, it addresses not only physical needs but also emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being—creating a compassionate environment where healing and hope can thrive.

Established through the initiative of the Ricky Reyes Foundation, CHILD Haus was created to provide respite and support for cancer-stricken children from the provinces who lack both financial resources and a home to stay while receiving treatment in the city. Its mission is rooted in love, empathy, and the belief that no child should face illness alone.

Through the tireless efforts of philanthropist Ricky Reyes, CHILD Haus has extended a helping and healing hand to children with cancer from all over the Philippines. Fondly known as “Mother Ricky,” he attributes the continued success of CHILD Haus to the unwavering kindness and generosity of its donors and benefactors—most especially SM Holdings, Inc. President Hans Sy.

CHILD Haus found its permanent home in Paco, Manila, through the generosity of Hans Sy, lovingly called “Kuya Hans ng CHILD Haus.” In celebration of his 60th birthday in 2015, Mr. Sy chose to build a bigger and better home for the children of CHILD Haus—strengthening its capacity to care for more young patients and reaffirming a shared commitment to compassion, hope, and healing.
